I agree with Tracy - what a great idea. I, too, think about someone during the day and then I get distracted and forget all about it. Maybe this will be a helpful solution by having a place to write it down. I am thankful for the ladies at Crossway!
What an amazingly wonderful idea!! It could only be from our gracious Saviour who works all things together for good! There are so many days that come and go in the flurry of my calling as a wife and mother where I think about each and every one of you and just don't take the time to get in touch. Perhaps this blog will be a solution! I am very excited for what God has for this!!

Just a thought from my Quiet time

This a a wonderful reminder from our friend, Mr Newton, may it bless you as you consider it.

“Remember, the growth of a believer is not like a mushroom—but like an oak, which increases slowly indeed—but surely. Many suns, showers, and frosts, pass upon it before it comes to perfection. And in winter, when it seems to be dead—it is gathering strength at the root.

Be humble, watchful, and diligent in the means, and endeavor to look through all, and fix your eye upon Jesus. “—John Newton

So my friends, where does your eye primarily fall when you read the Word of God? Is it on the finished cleansing work of your Savior, or primarily on your sin and your effort to overcome it? Let us look again at Calvary and see its beauty as Mr Newton encourages and and gain strength from applying the Gospel as we walk with our Savior!

Thank you again to the one who put this together in order that we may encourage one another. I am so looking forward to how the Lord will use this. I myself, have no real clue yet as to how this all works, but it has given me a reason to learn. May the Lord use this to His Glory and build us up in Him. Blessings to you all, I love you!

My first blog post--ever. You know, when I was a kid, my Grandma would save letters she received from friends and family, and when you went to Grandmas house you would catch up on people by reading through her stack of letters. Ah, but I think I'm catching up with the instant communication age--slowly. I'll post a serious post after I see this one in print and get over the shock of it.
